Tunnell Vision
Haven’t done this in a while and felt like studying the other team. Figured I would pass on my research to you guys.

War Eagle!
Tunnell
Tiger Meat - So. Miss
Mascot: Ragin’ Cajuns
Conference: Conf. USA
Record: 1-0 Overall

Outlook: Fair to good
The Cajuns put up a ton of offense in their season opener against La-Lafayette. They rolled up 633 yards of total offense with 427 on the ground. The good news is we only allowed 231 total yards against La-Monroe and only gave up 84 rushing.
Outlook: Good

The Cajun defense allowed 21 points and 394 total yards Saturday. 263 were on the ground. If we are able to pound out the ground game we’re going to set up Todd for a nice afternoon of practice.
Outlook: Fair

Players to watch – So. Miss:
#25 – Damion Fletcher (RB, Jr) This guy is good. 3000 career yards. He put up 222 yards and scored 2 TDs in week one even though he only ran the ball 5 times in the second half. Tray Blackman and his boys are going to have to welcome this guy to Jordan Hare proper, else he may run away with the show.

#12 Austin Davis (QB, Fr) In his first collegiate start, Davis was 14/21 with 206 yards in the air. He also scored 2 TDs on the ground on goal line keepers. La-Lafayette put him on the ground once. I suspect Coleman and Goggans will see to it that the number higher Saturday afternoon.

#5 DeAndre Brown (WR, Fr) Brown racked up 92 yards last week in his first game played outside a high school stadium. If he can keep his game on he may be a threat to Powers, McFadden and their freshman brethren.

Players to watch – Auburn:
Defensive Front 7: Have to stop the running game. We only allowed 84 yards on the ground against La-Monroe. If we stop Fletcher the Cajuns are going down.

Our Stable of running backs: Tate (Sr), Lester (Sr) and Smith (Fr) need to put up some big numbers so the pressure is off Chris Todd.

Chris Todd (QB, Jr) So. Miss QB David had a 110.4 rating in game 1. Chris Todd’s rating was 55.3. I’m going to chalk that one up to rhythm issues thanks to the rotation and nerves from being in the show for the first time. Todd will have his chance to prove us wrong this week.

How the story ends:
We struggle passing the ball but Todd gets more comfortable. Our defense plays lights out and we run the ball all day. We win 24 – 10 with So. Miss scoring their 10 on turnovers.
